Poppy’s Pagan Planning Ostara Food

Well sorry I didn’t post last weekend but Hubs was in the hospital (he is fine now) and family comes way before my little blog.

Speaking of family I am thinking about what to serve my family on Ostara especially given that it is a weeknight. Holiday food is always interesting in that often it is a weeknight and often I am also serving my family smooching them and heading off to my circle. This makes it interesting because on one hand I want the meals to be special and on the other hand I don’t always want elaborate feasts. I suppose I could celebrate with my Coven the night of and then do family celebration the next weekend, but I really like marking the actual day.

So I think I have settled on a nice simple meal
a nice spring salad

A quiche because I like round wheel things to mark the wheel of the year. this one has ramps and goat cheese

and a baked yam, because it also has goat cheese and I got them in my CSA box and the beginning of spring is a mix of using up the various foods you put up and getting the first new veggies.

Given how sweet the yams are and that they have honey on top of them I don’t think I will serve a dessert.

So that is what I will feed my family tomorrow. What are you going to feed yours?
