New Years Traditions.

Currently I am on “vacation” having been kicked out of our house due to dust and icky that we didn’t want Little exposed to. I am at my grandparents house.I have been coming down to this house during this time of years for more years than I can remember.

MyĀ cousinsĀ  and I would climb the rocks and trees in the yard. Throw olives from their trees at each other. Ā On New years we would stay up till midnight watchingĀ TVĀ in the study and then wake up oh so very, very early in the morning the next day.

New Years day was always the big event. We would all get up early bundle up and load up the cars. We headed down town to Grandma and Grandpa’s church that happens to be on Colorado Blvd in Pasadena. If that is not ringing Ā bells for you, that is the parade route for the Rose Parade. The church set upĀ bleachersĀ and weĀ wouldĀ get out seats, stay still for a moment and then run around under the bleachers and back and forth from theĀ refreshmentĀ table. I am pretty sure Grandma made coffee cake every year and there were all kinds of sweets and doughnuts and hot chocolate. This was a big deal to me as a kid as we didn’t have any ofĀ thoseĀ things around my house ever!

I loved (and still do) the Parade! I loved the marching bands and how you could feel them before you saw them. How the drums just go right to your bones. I loved the floats and I loved theĀ tradition.

It has been many years since we have gone down to watch the parade. Grandpa and Grandma left that churchĀ becauseĀ of something to do with the preschool. I am not sure what it was exactly but I am sure it is human rights related. I will have to ask about that later. Now we watch it on TV like so many other folks but I still love the parade. Maybe I can rustle up some gluten free doughnuts and make a day of it šŸ™‚

finding the right word

ah I need your help.

I am looking for the right word and I don’t know what it is.

I often tell people I feel like and then tell them what I feel they need to know or what ever message has been given to me for them. I don’t ever “hear” the messages as some people do. I usually just have an overĀ whelmingĀ feeling. Like I feel like I need to call so in so. or I feel like this personĀ shouldĀ have this thing checked out.

The closest thing I can use to describe it to me and my very dear (aka you all) isĀ channeling.

so what is the right word to say? I Feel like.. or the message IĀ receivedĀ is…

What are you thoughts?
