Candle for Pooka

For those of you who don’t know the beloved little kitty Pooka has passed on.  I, like many folks have loved Pooka Pages and so felt like I knew Pooka a little. Lora who is Pookas person asked for candles to be lit to light Pooka’s way so this is my candle for Pooka. May your journey be easy and swift.

  1. Ohhhh dear girl, teary here reading this. My heart goes out to you with this huge loss. It’s times like these that we realize how much our animal companions who are our children, brothers and sisters of the most pure kind, occupy such ginormous spaces within us. Hugs to you dear girl.

    • Oh sweetie you are so kind. Pooka was not my fur baby . Lora is her person, is an awesome site. We don’t have any pets right now though I think we will be getting a cat soon. I miss having little fur kiddos.

  2. Anna

Enjoying your candle pic and the purple orb that you seemed to have captured above the candle. what a beautiful cat. I’m thankful for mine everyday( we have 3). The oldest is 12yr and looking his age. I’m not looking forward to when he passes. Had him since he was 3mths old. He is the same age as my oldest son. They have a close bond. Lately the kids have been asking when he’s going to die. Cause Mom’s know everything remember, lol. I constantly tell my kids that Mom’s are Magic and that’s how they know everything. Thoughts and prayer goes out to Pooka’s owner. Somehow, I don’t think this fur baby is to far away from the one who raised her.

  3. Oh this makes me tear up… I can understand how difficult it is to say goodbye to our beloved furry companions. Thanks for sharing. I will do my best to light a candle for Pooka later. I’ve enjoyed the magazine.

    • It is wonderful to hear how many people Pooka has made and impact on. for my own fur loves I know it was just the people around us that knew them, but so many kids have known Pooka and loved the stories. So even in the sadness it does warm the heart.

“Once, I can’t remember, I was long ago, someone strange. I was innocent and wise, and full of pain. Now that I’m a woman, everything has changed.
