I always love it when evil empire Monsanto is taken down a few pegs, even if only temporarily. The article below, written by Tom Laskawy for Grist, came out last week – since then there’s been an obviously Clarence-Thomas-swayed decision by the Supreme Court to defend Monsanto’s ownership of food….oh well, maybe there will some better judgement when it comes to (NOT) approving GMO salmon:

It’s been a good week if you enjoy a little GMO schadenfreude. The FDA has reportedly bowed to public pressure to extend the comment period on its approval of genetically engineered salmon, and Illinois, Maryland, and Iowa are the latest states to buck GMOs by introducing labeling bills into state legislature.
