Bathroom

It all started innocently enough. Honey can you fix the faucet in the bathroom its leaky. It is so leaky that our water bill was high. It needs to be fixed. Now yes I could have done this myself. I have never fixed a faucet, but I am sure I could have figured it out. The thing is ever since we moved in our house almost 4 years ago we hated the bathroom. We did paint it right away as it was this icky mauve color. So we thought why don’t we replace the vanity.image

Well if we are going t replace the vanity maybe we can replace the medicine cabinet that doesn’t close and stuff always falls out of and the horribly ugly lights.

So we measured all of the information about the medicine cabinet except depth. We got it back home and sure it fit but it was thinner than the original one which means a whole bunch of the non linoleum floor would be exposed. Not a good idea when you have a 3 year-old who likes to play with water.

Hey look under our linoleum is other linoleum

Well we did always want tile. So out goes the floor. On and off came the door so we had more space to work. I am SORE today. Pulling up that floor was hard work. They used a ton of shank nails (little nails that are ribbed to make them stick in better) and even a fair amount of 3 inch screws!  On the bright side It will be beautiful when its done. On the down side I only have on bathroom in this house. We will be working on it more today so I will take more photos for you all 🙂

Hope you have a wonderful holiday.
