New altar to go

You may have seen this post where I showed you all my altar stuff in a very pretty hat box. It was nice but it was getting a little unwieldy. As I have started sharing my spiritual experience with other people I have been bringing the altar items for our circles. I was thinking of better ways to carry it all and I of course thought of a makeup train box.

That may sound odd but if you knew me it would make perfect sense. My last job before I had Little was a beauty consultant and frankly I love make up. So I am rather familiar with the cases that haul all that stuff around.

Her it is open with all its components. I like this one because it is heavy-duty, has snaps on top to keep it closed and  nice handle making it easy to carry.

I took the bottom dividers out so I could fit the bigger items.

And here is a picture of it with most of the items moved in.You can move the dividers around making the spaces just the right size. I am very happy with it and just wanted to share.

  1. Looks like my traveling jewelry making bins. 🙂

  2. Thanks for sharing, I love my train case and may now need to get my hands on another for this same purpose. I enjoy visiting your blog with it’s many insights.

    • Thank you Lady O. I love visiting your blog too! I particularly loved (recently) your Dia de los Muertos pic. You altar was so filled with love.

  3. Great idea!

  4. Oh, that’s a great idea! I have a travel altar, but it’s really meant as a personal thing (or maybe for chaplain work), not for group use. It’s a box about 12x12x2, which means only small tools and such.

When I was in college and moving a lot and had an assortment of non-Pagan roommates, I kept everything in a small plastic tub that doubled as an altar. This is more easily transportable though.

  5. You are a very “wise woman” 🙂 Great ingenuity using something you use to have things you loved about it for something you have always loved and your spirit.
