A new step

In my life as a Witch I have almost always been a solitary. I have occasionally done rituals with friends and in college I was a co-founder of a pagan club back when I was in college. I have also taught a lot of people or introduced them to the path and let them find the way to their own teachings. I have never headed a group.

Over a year ago my then student wanted to do a group ritual. So I called the girls and we had a lovely ritual. From there we attempted to meet as much as possible for Sabats. It was a wonderful experience. We all got meshed well.

A few months ago a friend of one of the gals needed help. So we did a circle to help her. She hadn’t practiced in a while but felt called back. Then a couple or so months later another friend of a friend needed to help.(sneak peek: this is the ritual I will be writing about for our Back to School for Witches too! blog party) Again we gathered to help. This friend was moved and wanted to know more.

So we meet and just like that a new student. Of course this all started because of the first student who also found me. We had just met and were at a networking group for professional women.  She came up to me and asked if I was a Witch. To this day all I can say is that it was destiny as I was dressed in a skirt suit with nylons and heels. I looked very conservative, no pentacle or trace of witchyness.

So now we are taking a new step. A step as a group that practices together and regularly. I am also taking a new step as a High Priestess of a group. I am nervous and excited about this. I am excited to have such wonderful woman to work with and I am nervous at the responsibility I have to each of them and hoping I can fulfill my role in perfect love and perfect trust. Its funny where life takes you. I am thankful for all the adventures I get to go on.
