Candle Magic

If you read my post last week you know that my dear friend J and I are having a (loving) ongoing conversation about teaching our children our respective religions. We also talked about what activities we do with out children. Little helps me cook almost every night and so I am teaching her “magic” or that when you make food for people you think good thoughts about them being healthy and happy. J said oh I call that praying. It doesn’t really matter what you call it and just about every faith has some aspect of magic within it. Another very common way to do magic or pray is to light a candle for someone. Today’s post I will show you how I made two magical candles. These were both for healing.

To start with I went to the dollar store and got candles. They have these ones that are the religious ones just without pictures. Then you will find what pictures you want. You can of course draw your own. I have a few images I found somewhere on the net and like to use.

This one I like particularly for children. I printed it out and cute it to the size I wanted. I colored it a little.

I then wrote my spell or prayer on the back of the image.

Scotch tape to affix it.

Here it is on my kitchen altar.

This is the second one I made

You can see the coloring in much clearer in this one. Because it is a spell you are pouring your energy into it. When I color I am thinking of/ picturing healing.

both candles with their flames burning bright, sending literally love and light to those in need. If you are curious the other is my kitchen candle.
