Today’s post is a project. A very easy project because that is what I have energy for. I love something that can be accomplished in under 10 minuets! I have been looking at our life and downsizing. I am evaluating what is important to us and what is not. As we work on our rhythms (daily, weekly, seasonally) I realized how spirituality can be tucked in to little pockets or be ignored. I think if you are a spiritual person then your rituals that have to do with your path need to play a big part of you life. I also think that prayer, meditation or what have you is a wonderful anchor to points in your day, weather it be grace before meals or before you go to sleep.
This little project is for my morning and evening prayers.
What I used: picture frame with space for two 4×6 photos (which I got at the dollar store), a piece of paper, a piece of scrap book paper, a 3×5 card, a pen, glue and scissors.
above you can see my two sheets of paper and the place holder pictures. I took them out of the frame and used them to measure the my paper.
First I cut out the scrap book paper which was a card stock type.
Then I cute out two little sheets of paper oh I used a 3×5 card to trace the smaller sheets. Wrote out my prayers on them and pasted them to the card stock pretty paper. I put them in my frame and ta da!
I then put the frame next to my bed on my bed side table/ altar. The light in that part of my room is just too dark so I didn’t get a good photo of the frame in it’s new home. For me prayer is such a good way to bookend my days and they are the little daily anchors that moves our rhythm along.
