Practical Magic Thursday

Yes I know it is Friday, I have not worked all the kinks out of my schedual. I am pretty sure very soon I am going to have to start waking up at 5 and frankly I am putting it off. I usually write while Little takes her nap, but Thursdays is when I meet with my student.

Magic. so if you are new to my blog, or to Witchyness in general, please read my post on ethics before you do any magic. https://bookofshadowsandblessings.wordpress.com/2011/07/09/ While for many things I think you can make your own way and do what feels right for you, magic and ethics is not one of them. There are natural laws that you must follow. The basic of course is “An thou harm none, do what thou will”

All that said lets do a little spell. For witches magic is in everything and everything is magic. The spark and the Divine, the spark of the Goddess and God are what give our Magic its spark. As we try to live our lives in attune with the Goddess and God we will see the magic unfold more and more into the smallest of details.

Yesterday was Imbolc and for me it is the time I bless seeds, and seedlings. Depending on your weather you may choose to do this at Ostara.

Blessings Seeds

Have your seed packets on your altar. Hold them in your hand and feel their energy and then feel yours flowing into them. Say the following or similar words “Goddess and God please bless these seeds that they may grow strong and true. Breath your life into them so that they may provide life for others. May the vegetables provide nourishment for our family and the flowers provide nourishment for the bees and insects. May the herbs help us with our health and magic. Fertile Goddess and fruitful God please guide (you may choose to hold your trowel here) our hands as we take care of these plants. For as we care for the Earth and plants we care for you.” Continue to hold them and work on pouring good and strong energy into them until you can feel them respond. They will either get warmer or you will feel them vibrate. They are blessed.
