Code of Ethics

This is my latest page I completed in my new Book of Shadows.  This is my Code of Ethics page. image

The frame on the left page I got from here  I printed it out, colored it and cut it out. The picture on the right is from an old magazine and it is a picture of an Renoir painting. The code of Ethics are a mix of the Cabot code of Eithics and from Scott Cunningham’s books as well as my take on them.

Code of ethics

One – “An it harm none – do what ye will”  this applies to thought. Word, and deed.  This also applies to how you think, and talk about, and treat yourself.

Two – Treat others as you would like to be treated. We are sisters and brothers.

Three – Give due worship to the Old ones as we have been taught

Four – Integrity, Discipline and Respect must be self-evident in all our affairs as we represent our Tradition.

Five – We practice our craft according to Hermetic Laws, and we are accountable to the Goddess/God/ALL

Six – Hold Sabats and Esbats to the best of your ability and as often as possible hold them out of doors in wild and unspoiled places.

Seven – Each Witch is Sovereign and accepts the Responsibility that this incurs.

Eight – We are committed to our way of life and firmly grounded in the Science of our Majick. We express our Tradition as an Art, a Science, and a Religion.

Nine – We do not do majick for others, or to others, without their permission. When we do spells we ask that they be “correct and for the good of all”

Ten –We seek to heal and protect our Mother Earth and better the lives of the humans and animals around us through majickal and charitable means

.Eleven –We do not proselytize. We do seek to educate anyone that does seek knowledge from us. We do not charge money to teach the Old Ways.

Twelve – As Far as possible make all your actions honorable; for all you do shall return to you three-fold; three times ill or three times good

Thirteen – Honor all living things, for we are of the stag, and the salmon, and the bee; so destroy not life, save be to preserve your own

Once, when I was searching, somewhere out of reach, far away, in a place I could not find, or heart obey. Now that I’m a woman, everything is strange.” – Amalthea from The Last Unicorn.
