This idea came to me as way of a centerpiece for my dinning room table. If you read my post on Altars you may have gotten the idea that really anywhere can be sacred space. And really I look at my whole house and yard as sacred space. That said my dinning room table where family and friends gather to nourish themselves and to connect, is of course another area I think of as sacred space. I try to keep mine clear all the time with the exception of some thing pretty to make me smile and celebrate the seasons. We have a rather small space and so a small tree that can be decorated in accordance with the season and the reason (i.e. full moon or birthday or 4th of July etc) seemed just perfect.
Here is a picture of mine naked if you will. The tree itself is a small twig from a Oak tree that attached itself to my daughter at a park. I found it particular as there were no Oaks around the playground.
and here is what you need to make one of your own. I used a small container that came from a small orchid from Trader Joe’s after I had transplanted the orchid. The rock is marble chips but any material would work.
and Finally here is a picture of my little personal altar tree with out circle tree. Our circle tree is Manzanita
