Before I move on to B for my pagan blog post I want to say a little bit about magic and Anger
you know how in Groundhog Day Bill Murry says “Don’t drive angry”
I feel the same way about magic. When we are mad we are less likely to think of all the possible outcomes of our actions. Anger has a way of blinding us. We miss what seems obvious later, and we may regret our actions later.
Anger makes it so we are not acting in perfect love and perfect trust. It can also make us a bit paranoid. We perceive wrongs that may have not been there or intended. Not good for magic. Anger can also make us a bit scattered. We are not able to focus on the task at hand because we are still “fuming” over what ever it is that made us mad.
I think it is easy to think of anger as fire. Especially if your pale like me and actually turn red when mad, but that is another story. Back to Fire. Fire can be wonderful and helpful and life sustaining or it can destroy life. With clouded emotions you may intend to light a small light and but end up burning down the house.
Now before anyone freaks out and tells me some times you need to do magic while angry say for like protection. I am not saying don’t do it, I am saying think twice and frankly for protection I would do it anytime, any where.

For me I’m learning that when I get angry I am giving what I don’t want more power which makes it happen even more often. With the Law of Attraction I’m learning to focus my energy into what I do want and try real hard (I can be a hot head – warrior bitch grabbing the sword before the shield) to stop myself from a tyraid and say, “What do I want to come of this?!” and I redirect my powerful feelings to that outcome instead. Just yesterday I had to do this lol — the NRA recent add and how the food police are focusing on sugar and not corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup as the real culprits in EVERYTHING that is causing national obesity. The body can process regular sugar – it’s not designed to process corn syrup! GRRRR.
seriousness grr and girl we are on the SAME page there but before I go down that road I love what you said about we are more likely to pick up the sword then the shield and anger is powerful energy. We can still use it when we take that moment to do as you say calm down a little and figure out how to transform it into what we want. Like a smith
