world cultures help

Ok dear readers I need your help.

Next month July is our theme for July world cultures. Of course We have July 4th which is Independence day and we have the Olympics which will be awesome!  Before I get to off track thinking of fun Olympic games to play (longest laundry pile jump?) I will get to my point. I want to start looking up recipes and songs and games from different countries and I need some help narrowing it down. So dear friends who gets your votes. What countries shall we focus on? Please, please, please leave your comments below with your ideas.

Thank you!

Green Smoothie Pops make me happy

So we ate way to much this weekend. I was not kind to my body, not that the food we ate was bad for us food but to much of anything is not good. This morning its time to reel it in a little and give my body a little TLC. Luckily I have a batch of these green smoothie pops in the fridge.

This picture is from the original post on Muffin Tin Mania,

I am so thrilled with these smoothies. This is truly and idea that I saw and thought “why didn’t I think of that?” Not to mention that they are super yummy and good for you. A serious WIN!

I have two large ziplock bags in the fridge with these and on days like today it is so nice to take two out pop them in my cup and pour some coconut water over them. No mess, or hassle of getting the blender out, or cleaning it after. Not to mention that I don’t have to keep a ton of fresh ingredients on hand. I went to Costco and bought the spinach (yes organic) and coconut water (organic too!) I didn’t want to buy mangoes because I had a bunch of peaches so I switched those. I made two batches that afternoon during. I have metal muffin tins (though after deciding this was brilliant I am going to purchase some silicon ones) and so I did have to put them in a warm water try to get the pops out.

I highly recommend these. they are well worth the very minimal effort and they make me oh so happy on days like today.
